Dr. Lemus-Rangel Attends the Annual Clinical Congress
Palmdale surgeon, Dr. Lemus-Rangel, attends the long-awaited Boston Annual American College of Surgeons Clinical Congress.
What Is This Organization?
The American College of Surgeons was formed by surgeons nearly 105 years ago. They aimed to improve surgical practice and quality of care for all surgical patients. They are the largest organization of surgeons in the world with over 80,000 members. Their organization has greatly influenced America’s scientific surgical field and we’re grateful for their contributions.
Dr. Lemus was honored to be a part of the event especially since the event hasn’t commenced in Boston since 1950. During the event, scientific courses and sessions were available for practicing surgeons. This year their theme was “Joy and Privilege of a Surgical Career” and it’s safe to say surgeons are happy to save lives. There were more than 100-panel sessions, valuable lectures, research displays, and much more!
More than 200 companies were on-site exhibiting services and products that better the quality of medical practices. There were also plenty of resources available for postgraduates! For example, they had a panel session about leadership and career development for young surgeons. The event also covered health issues such as breast cancer treatment and public health. If lectures weren’t enough, they also had video sessions about surgical cases in trauma and many others.
Endless Networking Opportunities
Palmdale surgeon, Dr. Lemus, surely enjoyed himself and had a great time networking with other fantastic surgeons. Meeting up with other like-minded individuals is a start in creating new scientific innovations. With over 80,000 members in the organization, you can expect greatness to influence others from all the information they share. Hopefully, they host the event again next year and see what they have in store next time!
