What is AHS?
Studies show that more than 600,000 hernia repairs are performed in the U.S every year. The American Hernia Society (AHS) is an organization which provides their expertise in Science and hernia treatment. They hold an annual meeting where some of the best general surgeons for hernia repair attend.
The AHS holds conferences around the United States for all things related to hernia repair. Their goals are to discuss scientific materials and new techniques revolving hernia repair.
This year, the American Hernia Society conducted an annual meeting for 3 and a half days for surgeons, practitioners and medical professionals on Monday, March 11 – Thursday, March 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Attendees learned more about the management of abdominal wall disorders and other hernia surgery implications based on current clinical evidence and research, . The meeting also covered robotic surgery (perfect for our robotic surgeon!) and the potential future of hernia repair surgery.
